Part numbers and \"SMP manufacturing\" are printed on labels on the underside of the battery pack.
Gateway said in a statement that the batteries were sold from May 2003 to August 2003.
It is not a defect inside the battery, the commission said.
Battery pack recall is a separate case involving a manufacturer that differs from the massive recall of Sony battery last year.
Toshiba on Tuesday
